Two-wheelers take more damage in transit than cars do, because they cannot be strapped down the same way and there is no bodyshell protecting the vulnerable parts. Every bike we move is individually crated or bubble-wrapped at the handlebars, mirrors, indicators, and tank, then secured upright on its own wheel chock so it is never resting against another vehicle. Bikes are not laid on their side, which is what causes fluid leaks and scratched fairings.
Fuel is drained to near-empty before loading — this is a safety requirement for enclosed transport, not an optional step, and it also removes the fire risk that makes some buildings refuse two-wheeler loading entirely. The battery terminal is disconnected on longer hauls. As with cars, we photograph the bike from every angle and note the odometer reading before it goes on the carrier, and you get that record.
Single-bike moves are common and priced as their own job, not as a fraction of a car rate — you are not paying for space you do not use. If you are moving a household as well, the bike travels on the same booking and the same coordinator handles both, which is usually cheaper and always simpler than arranging them separately.
