Fragile items — glassware, mirrors, electronics, artwork, crockery — are the most stressful part of any move. One wrong move and a cherished possession is gone forever. Here's how professional packers protect your most delicate belongings.
Wrap each piece individually in packing paper, then in bubble wrap. Place heavier items at the bottom of the box and lighter ones on top. Fill all empty spaces with foam peanuts so nothing can shift during transit. Never stack boxes containing glassware.
The best packing for electronics is the original manufacturer's box. If you don't have it, wrap the item in anti-static bubble wrap, place it in a snug-fitting box, and fill voids with foam. Remove batteries before packing. Always photograph wire connections before disassembly.
Tape an X across glass surfaces with masking tape — this holds shards together if the glass cracks during transport. Wrap in moving blankets, then bubble wrap, and mark the box "This Side Up" and "Fragile" on all four sides.
For wardrobes and cabinets with mirror or glass panels, wrap the glass in bubble wrap and secure it. Dismantle shelves and pack them separately.
A professional packing crew has access to the right materials and techniques to protect even your most valuable items. Our Economic and Premium packages include full professional packing — giving you peace of mind that everything will arrive safely.
